Upon docking at the port, we will embark on a combination car and walking tour of Tanger city. Our itinerary 12 days tour from Tangier includes stops at several notable sights such as Cap Spartel, the grand Sultan’s Palace, the Necropolis, and the legendary Caves of Hercules. Afterwards, we will depart for Chefchaouen via Tetouan, admiring the picturesque green scenery of the Rif Mountains along the way. Upon arriving in Chefchaouen, you will have free time in the evening to explore the town on your own, including its iconic square and bustling markets. We will spend the night at a local hotel.

Today, we set off towards Fes, making a stop at the ancient Roman site of Volubilis along the way. Next, we will drive to Meknes, another historic imperial city that boasts numerous noteworthy attractions. After exploring the most captivating sights of Meknes, we will continue on to Fes, where we will spend the night.

The day 3 of our 12 days Morocco tour from Tangier, you will Embark on a captivating journey through Fez, the historic imperial city of Morocco. Your tour begins at the Royal Palace gate and is guided by a knowledgeable local. During the day, you will visit a ceramics cooperative to admire traditional Moroccan crafts, wander through the maze-like streets of the Medina, including the Jewish Quarter and the Tanneries. We have an early breakfast planned for today as we set off on a journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Merzouga. Our route will take us through stunning forests, vast plains, and Berber villages nestled on the slopes of the Atlas Mountains until we reach the Sahara Desert. We will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, known as the capital of apples, before continuing on the winding roads with views of the Oued Ziz River below. We will pass by historic kasbahs and palm groves, traveling through the vibrant city of Er-Rachidia, until we reach the gorgeous town of Merzouga, the gem of the Sahara Desert. In the late afternoon, we’ll drive to a hotel or Riad for an overnight stay, completing a day filled with captivating memories.

Start your day by rising early to admire the breathtaking beauty of the sunrise in the desert. You’ll hop on your camels for the ride back to meet your driver. The day ahead holds many exciting adventures as you explore the desert, visit nomadic families, and the Gnaoua village of Khamlia. Here, you’ll be treated to a musical performance with genuine instruments, creating a truly one-of-a-kind experience. After a culturally-rich visit with the Gnaoua people, you’ll savor a traditional Berber Pizza. Lastly, you’ll embark on a camel ride through the desert to experience a breathtaking sunset. We will spend the night in a camp bivouac, feasting on delicious food.

Departure to Rissani is scheduled for this morning, the entrance to the desert of Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a bustling market known as the souk and a park of donkeys near the market. We will then make our way to Tinghir and the breathtaking Todra Gorges, which are renowned for being the highest and narrowest canyons in Morocco. After relishing a delicious lunch surrounded by the stunning scenery of the gorges, we will embark on a scenic drive through the Dades Valley, admiring the intriguing rock formations and famous “monkey toes”. The day will come to an end with an overnight stay in the picturesque Dades Valley.

This morning, we embark on a journey to the High Atlas Mountains through Ouarzazate. We will visit Taourirt kasbah and the iconic Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a sought-after location for many films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, and the Gladiator. We will enjoy a delicious lunch at the Kasbah before heading towards Marrakech, driving over the Tizi n Tishka Pass in the Atlas Mountains. The day will come to a close with an overnight stay in a traditional Riad in Marrakech.

Marrakesh is a city that embodies all of Morocco’s exotic culture and charm. With the help of one of our knowledgeable guides, you’ll visit the Koutoubia Mosque, a stunning example of 12th-century architecture, as well as the Majorelle Garden, filled with cacti, palms, and ferns created by the artist Jacques Majorelle.

You’ll also have the opportunity to explore several other historical monuments, such as the Saadian Tombs, a 16th-century cemetery decorated with intricate mosaic tiles. After a break for lunch, you’ll have time to wander through the city’s bustling souks, including the Babouche Souk for shoes, the Chouari open-air market for carpentry, the El-Attarine market for perfumes and spices, and the Cherratine market for leather goods. Today, we drive on a journey to Essaouira, a picturesque coastal city known for its rich history. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to wander the historic streets, explore museums, and admire the ancient castles and bronze cannons. After a day of sightseeing, we will return to Marrakesh in the afternoon, where we will spend the night in a comfortable Riad.

Today we will set out at 9:00 AM for a tour of Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco. Our primary focus will be on visiting the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the second largest mosque in the world. This stunning structure is situated on an outcropping northwest of the Medina and can accommodate up to 25,000 worshipers within its walls, with an additional 80,000 in the surrounding plazas. After exploring Casablanca, we will continue on to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where we will spend the night in a hotel.

After visiting Rabat, you will travel to Asilah, a charming seaside town known as the “pearl of the Atlantic Ocean.” You will explore its Portuguese walls, picturesque coastline, and bustling markets where you can taste the local seafood cuisine. Asilah is a cultural hub, famous for being a birthplace of Raissuli and attracting poets and painters. You will end the day by watching the sunset from the tower along the coast, fully immersing yourself in this beautiful town’s unique atmosphere. You will spend the night in a traditional Riad.
